Matt Hoard, M.A.
I have experience working in the treatment of children, teens, and adults in private practice, school, and hospital settings over the last 8 years. I am currently a graduate student in the final year of my PhD in Clinical Psychology. I also received a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, in which I received training working with children and families. I have had training in therapy and assessment through a variety of settings, including: UCLA Medical Center-Olive View, the Greater Los Angeles VA Medical System, and in a school setting. I have worked with issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and neurodevelopmental disorders. In recent years I've gained even more experience working with children, teens, and families through my work at Equip.
I am a Psychological Associate working toward licensure as a psychologist and am being supervised by Dr. David Lorentzen (PSY23226) at Equip. I live in the Los Angeles area with my wife and two children.
